We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you access and use our website and services.
1. Data We Collect
When you authenticate or use our website, we collect the following information:
- EVE Online SSO Tokens: Public character identifiers and authentication tokens provided via CCP Games' official Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Character Information: EVE character names, character IDs, corporation/alliance affiliations, and related public in-game data required for access control.
- Technical Data & IP Addresses: Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, and access logs recorded when you interact with our website.
2. Why We Collect Your Data & Legal Basis
We collect and process your data for specific operational, administrative, and security purposes:
- Corporation Management & Access Control: To verify your identity, manage forum/service access, and assign appropriate roles based on your in-game status.
- Account Integrity & Single Account Enforcement: To ensure each member operates authorized accounts, prevent unauthorized account sharing, and ensure users maintain a single account where required.
- Security & Service Optimization: To detect, prevent, and investigate spy recruitment, multi-boxing abuse, and malicious website activity (e.g., DDoS attacks, unauthorized access attempts).
- Geographic Optimization: To assist in routing or providing services closer to our members' regions for better performance and coordination.
Legal Basis for Processing IP Addresses
We process IP addresses under the legal basis of Legitimate Interest (e.g., under GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have a legitimate operational and security interest in maintaining the safety, integrity, and fair operation of our web infrastructure, preventing espionage/abuse, and protecting our community services.
3. Data Retention
- SSO & Character Data: Retained for as long as you are an active member of our corporation/alliance services, or until your account is terminated.
- IP Address & Access Logs: Retained only as long as necessary for security monitoring, fraud prevention, and system maintenance, after which logs are routinely purged or anonymized.
On this site, access log entries are deleted automatically 90 days after they were last seen. The deletion runs nightly and is not something anybody has to remember to do.
4. Your Data Rights (GDPR & Right to be Forgotten)
If you are located in the European Union (EU/EEA) or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you possess specific rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): If you leave the corporation/alliance or cease using our services, you may request the complete deletion of your website account, character records, and associated IP logs from our active databases.
Note on Compliance: Upon receiving a valid erasure request, we will permanently remove your user account and linked personal identifiers from our active database within a reasonable timeframe, except where temporary retention is required to prevent ongoing abuse or security threats.
5. How to Request Data Erasure
To request account deletion or exercise any of your privacy rights, please contact a Director or Website Administrator via our official Discord / Coalition communications platform or submit a ticket through our administrative channels.
